Yesterday, I attended a Dentistry Roundtable with other Lincolnshire MPs.
This was a very needed opportunity to represent constituent issues regarding dentistry provision in our local area to colleagues in the Department for Health and Social Care.
Lincolnshire has difficulty in attracting dentists to the area. The NHS dentistry contracts need to be changed and we have a disproportionate amount of people in our area with poor oral health.
The Minister understood our issues and will give us an update on his progress in the coming weeks.
We are particularly fortunate to have Minister O’Brien working on this, as he was the Levelling Up Minister who previously worked closely with us in Grimsby and he is very familiar with our town and what we need to level up - NHS dentists being one of them.
