Today I met with Cllr Philip Jackson to discuss the new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) which will be opening in Freshney Place.
As previously mentioned on my page, the new CDC will allow the people of North East Lincolnshire better freedom in terms of where they access certain treatments, with MRI’s, blood tests, and other necessary procedures being on offer within Freshney Place.
One great benefit of this is that it will bring footfall into our town centre - with the capacity to offer over 110,000 tests per year, that is over 100k more people coming into Freshney Place and using what’s available to them!
This fits in nicely with the Council’s regeneration agenda, with work starting in Summer to re-develop the western end of Freshney Place into a cinema, food hall, and bringing in more leisure opportunities.
