We (Martin Vickers MP, Sir Edward Leigh MP and I) are lobbying hard to see this happen. LNER completed testing earlier this year, and the Prime Minister confirmed his support for the direct rail link just a few weeks ago.
This will have a huge positive impact on our local area, both boosting it as a tourist destination (imagine standing in Kings Cross station and seeing 'Cleethorpes' on the boards once again!), and presenting a new option for people who may want or need to commute.
