Today, the Chancellor delivered the annual budget – the tax and spending plans that the Government will implement over the coming year.
We're delivering a further 2% reduction in National Insurance, meaning that people in Grimsby will save an average of £640 every year. We’re committed to making sure that your earnings stay where they’re supposed to be – in your pocket.
The Chancellor also announced a that we’re keeping the freeze on fuel and alcohol duty, meaning that pubs are supported to continue as centres of our community, and working people don’t pay more tax for running their cars.
This is a sensible budget, where we’re backing working people whilst supporting our economy. Keep an eye on my social media channel for more information from the Budget as we go through the week.
